One Dream Lions Basketball

Founded in 2022 by Coach Josue Maldonado, One Dream Lions Basketball was established with a simple but powerful vision: to change lives through the game of basketball.

What began as a dream has grown into a family built on faith, love, discipline, and a commitment to serving our community. From day one, our mission has never been just about winning games—it has been about creating opportunities for young athletes to believe in themselves, overcome obstacles, and become the best version of who 

God created them to be.

At One Dream Lions Basketball, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to play, learn, and grow, regardless of their financial situation. That is why we have worked hard to build an affordable, high-quality basketball program that allows families to access elite coaching, player development, and mentorship without the 

overwhelming costs that often prevent children from participating.

Our program is built on the values of Faith, Family, Community, Culture, Loyalty, Respect, Accountability, and Excellence. These principles guide everything we do, both on and off the court.

Basketball is simply the platform. Our true purpose is to develop young leaders with strong character. We teach our athletes the importance of discipline, responsibility, teamwork, humility, respect, perseverance, and leadership—life lessons that will stay with them long after their playing days are over.

We also believe in giving back. One Dream Lions Basketball is deeply committed to making a positive impact in our community through youth development, mentorship, community outreach, school supply drives, and service projects that inspire our athletes to become leaders who care about others.

Since our founding in 2022, our athletes and coaches have achieved success on the court by competing at a high level and earning numerous tournament championships. However, our greatest victories cannot be measured by trophies. They are measured by the confidence built in a young athlete, the friendships created, the families united, and the lives transformed through love, guidance, and mentorship.

Every practice, every game, and every conversation is an opportunity to teach something greater than basketball. We challenge our athletes to work hard, stay humble, honor God, respect others, and never stop believing in their dreams.

As One Dream Lions Basketball continues to grow, our commitment remains the same: to provide a safe, positive, and affordable environment where every athlete can thrive, every family feels welcomed, and every child is empowered to dream bigger than they ever imagined.

The mission of our AAU Basketball Academy is to develop student-athletes through elite basketball training while building a culture of discipline, accountability, respect, and teamwork. We are committed to creating a positive, family-oriented environment that promotes character, leadership, and confidence, preparing our players for success on and off the court and at the next level of competition.
